I was going out to dinner with my parents for some unknown special occasion. We were at a Mexican restaurant and I was given a single Modelo beer with my meal. I decided to save it so I could enjoy it at home. However, my parents didn't want me to drink it so they hid it from me. At home, there was an extended family get-together party and I saw my dad give the Modelo beer to my uncle. I begged and pleaded with him to give me the beer. He then told me to stand with my back against the refrigerator and walk backwards. I did that and walked through a portal that teleported me to a liquor store. I browsed the selection and picked out the cheapest but highest alcohol by volume percentage drinks. When I reached the checkout lane, there was no one working as a cashier. I simply walked out without paying and when I saw another young man do the same I jokingly remarked, "works for me!". I then got into my car- which was the same crappy Nissan Altima I used to drive in high school. I drove home and then woke up in real life.
This dream could be interpreted as representing a conflict between your desires and the expectations or restrictions placed upon you by your parents or family. The Mexican restaurant and Modelo beer symbolize a desire for enjoyment and indulgence, perhaps related to a special occasion or celebration. However, the fact that your parents hid the beer from you suggests a sense of control or denial of your desires. The extended family get-together and your dad giving the beer to your uncle could represent a feeling of exclusion or being overshadowed by others in your family. The plea for the beer could symbolize a desire to assert your own desires and have autonomy over your choices. The portal and teleportation to the liquor store may represent a desire to escape the restrictions imposed by your family and seek out your own independence and freedom. Your choice of the cheapest but highest alcohol by volume percentage drinks might indicate a desire for instant gratification or a rebellious streak, while the lack of a cashier at the checkout lane could symbolize a feeling of getting away with something or breaking the rules without consequences. Driving the same old car from high school could represent a regression or feeling stuck in the past, perhaps indicating that you are still dealing with unresolved issues or conflicts from your younger years. Overall, this dream may highlight a tension between your own desires and the expectations or limitations imposed by your family. It suggests a yearning for autonomy and freedom while also revealing a need to resolve conflicts and find a balance between asserting your own desires and respecting the wishes of your loved ones.
